The Importance of Place
NPR ran a story on the importance of place when we make important decisions about work and family. Richard Florida wrote a book, Who’s your city, and points out that selecting a place to live is very important to each person. He describes many of the major ‘corridors’ that Grady Gammage talked about and how each may offer select communities. He described how Portland Oregon can grow but in a controlled way that protects its ambiance. Take a look at:
